Stepping out in fine style at the South Whitehaven Tea Dance

Anne Stephenson and fellow Neighbourhood Warden Paul Hamilton, lead the dance off

The Neighbourhood Wardens invited elderly residents from South Whitehaven to get together for the Tea Dance of the Year. The event, organised by Neighbourhood Warden, Anne Stephenson and South Whitehaven Neighbourhood Management Initiative, was intended to give the residents an opportunity to get together socially and enjoy music and dance from the past.

Hughie Diamond did a tremendous job as Compere for the afternoon and made sure everyone got up on the floor to show off their paces. At half time the residents were treated to afternoon tea, which included sandwiches, scones and cakes, provided by the ladies from Family Advice Centre.

Anne Stephenson was delighted that the event proved to be such a success and all the hard work that went into the planning was appreciated by everyone who attended.
