Go-Karting

On 30th October, PCSO Blaney, PCSO Simon Kane and PCSO Ronald Vaughan took a group of youngsters, all from the Woodhouse Estate, to West Coast Indoor Karting Centre at Maryport where they experienced the thrills and spills behind the wheel of a go-kart. The event was funded by the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority’s “Footprints Project” for £500.

Those who attended were:
Keiron Smith aged 11
Tyler Smith aged 9
Curtis Moynes aged 12
Bradley Pratt aged 13
Rebbecca Parker aged 11
Nikita Woolaghan aged 10
Victoria paine aged 10
Cy Casson aged 11
Devon Holmes aged 13
Daisy Richardson aged 12
Kurtis Irvine aged 12
Ross Irvine aged 8
Peter Woolaghan aged 8

Transport to and from Maryport was provided by West Coast Community Gym (BIG THANK YOU TO THEM!) and on their return the youngsters were treated to supper at Finnegans Chip Shop.

PCSO Andrew Blaney said “Anti-social behaviour has significantly decreased in the area and this showed those taking part that good behaviour does not go unnoticed by the police”.

The event proved to be a great success and everyone had a fantastic time!
