HOW THEY MET: At the Pack Horse pub in Low Seaton. They knew each other to say hello to and got together in 2008.

PROPOSAL: On June 19, 2009 at the Trevi Fountain in Rome.

VENUE: Moresby Hall, Whitehaven.

THEME: The bride’s favourite colour green.

BRIDE’S OUTFIT: A strapless dress in café au lait with matching chiffon shrug and shoes, from The Collection, Workington.

GROOMSMEN: The groom’s friend Joe Taylor was best man and wore his own brown suit with cream silk tie from Dresses and Dreams, Workington.

The groom wore a chocolate brown herringbone Prince Edward suit with coffee ruche and handkerchief and browning waistcoat from Greenwoods, Workington.

BRIDESMAIDS: The bride’s daughter Emily Kathleen Sharpe was bridesmaid and wore a knee length satin dress in café au lait from Warehouse at Debenhams.

FLOWERS: The bride carried a bouquet of green and cream vandella roses studded with diamante pins and framed by dark green aspidistra leaves, from Seaton Garden Centre.

TRANSPORT: A minibus for the groom and guests supplied by Bensons, Seaton.

RECEPTION: Moresby Hall for 21 guests for a wedding breakfast and Seaton Legion for an evening reception for 110 guests.

TABLE SETTINGS: Green and cream flowers supplied by Moresby Hall for the wedding breakfast and balloons from Party HQ in Cockermouth decorated the tables in the evening. Also, packets of Love Hearts from the internet.

FAVOURS: Green-sugared almonds in emerald green organza bags from the internet for the ladies and almonds in cream boxes for the men.

CATERING: The Corner Pantry, Harrington for the evening reception.

CAKE: A chocolate cake made by the bride’s sister-in-law Lynn Ferris and personalised cake topper from the internet.

FIRST DANCE: Amazed, Lonestar.

ENTERTAINMENT: Live music and disco by duo Uz2, from Seaton.

HONEYMOON: Calabria, Italy.
